### Director Sales key responsibilities

### Sales Strategy | P&L Management | Revenue Generation

1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue targets and business growth.
2. Take full ownership of Profit & Loss for the sales function or vertical.
3. Ensure business profitability by managing pricing strategies, controlling costs, and optimizing resource allocation.
4. Monitor sales performance, identify roadblocks, and adjust strategies as needed.
5. Lead efforts to expand market presence, penetrate new markets, and increase the customer base.
6. Prepare and manage annual budgets aligned with business goals.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

1. Lead, mentor, and manage the entire sales team, setting clear performance targets and KPIs.
2. Monitor individual and team performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance appraisals.
3. Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and results-driven sales culture.
4. Retain top talent to ensure consistent high performance.
5. Provide ongoing training and mentorship to develop individual skills and sales expertise.
6. Promote a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and knowledge sharing.
7. Motivate and inspire the team to achieve their full potential

Client Relationship & Key Account Management

1. Ensure high client satisfaction through regular engagement, business reviews, and tailored solutions.
2. Collaborate with customer success teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and accounts.
4. Address customer concerns promptly to ensure a positive brand experience.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

1. Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and industry developments.
2. Provide actionable insights to improve service offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning.

Reporting & Forecasting

1. Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and financial performance updates to senior management.
2. Analyze sales data to identify gaps, opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
3. Track and analyze key sales metrics.
4. Generate reports to measure team performance and highlight areas for improvement.
5. Communicate sales performance regularly to the team and upper management.
6. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies and resource allocation.

Process Optimization & CRM Management

1. Establish and continuously improve sales processes, from lead generation to deal closure.
2. Ensure effective CRM usage across the team to track activities, manage leads, and maintain data accuracy.
3. Implement a clear and effective sales process for the team to follow.
4. Analyze customer needs and develop targeted sales strategies to close deals

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background: MBA/PGDM or equivalent, preferably in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the education sector.

Skills:

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving large teams.

Strong understanding of P&L management and financial acumen.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze and act on insights effectively.

High energy and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
